Nicholas Simon Lyndhurst (born 20 April 1961) is an English actor best known for his role in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses as Rodney Trotter. He is most remembered for his roles as Gary Sparrow in Goodnight Sweetheart, Fletch’s son Raymond in Going Straight, and Adam Parkinson in Butterflies. He was also a child actor.
He also appeared in The Two of Us, After You’ve Gone, and the Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips as Ashley Philips, Jimmy Venables, and Freddie ‘The Frog’ Robdal. He played Dan Griffin in the later seasons of the procedural crime drama New Tricks.
